In a shop

SHOP ASSISTANT: Good morning, madam. Can I help you?

FRAU WEISS: Yes. I'd like to look at one of the dresses in your window.

SHOP ASSISTANT: Which one?

FRAU WEISS: The red one.

SHOP ASSISTANT: What size do you take, madam?

FRAU WEISS: I'm not sure. I come from Germany, and our sizes are different.

SHOP ASSISTANT: Then I'll measure you.
. .. Size fourteen. I'm afraid we haven't got the red dress in your size.

FRAU WEISS: Have you got the same dress in another colour?

SHOP ASSISTANT: Yes, I've got that dress in green.

FRAU WEISS: In my size?

SHOP ASSISTANT: Yes.

FRAU WEISS: Yes, I like it. Can I try on the dress?

SHOP ASSISTANT: Certainly. Come this way.

FRAU WEISS: No, this dress is too small for me. Thankyou, anyway.

SHOP ASSISTANT: Not at all, madam. I'm sorry I couldn't help you.

I'M NOT SURE: I don't know.

THEN: so.

AFRAID: sorry.

TRY ON THE DRESS: put on the dress, and see if it's the right size.

THANKYOU, ANYWAY: I'm not going to buy it - but thankyou.

NOT AT ALL: You don't need to say 'thankyou'.
